The Origin of Quinta del Mar
In 2003, longtime farmers Alex and Esperanza McCullough moved from their home in San Joaquin Valley in Central California, to the San Luis Obispo County, on the Central Coast. When they first spotted the beautiful slopping hillside in Nipomo, they knew they had found their new home. Starting with a parcel of raw land and a lot of hard work, the vineyard of Quinta del Mar has come to fruition.
"Our goal is to produce balanced vines using a holistic approach. If a vine is balanced, it will be able to fight disease, weather stress, repel insects, and produce a superior wine." - Alex McCullough
